Professor Kenneth Kelton receives NASA grant to carry out experiments on the International Space Station.

AO/Research in Physical Sciences on Sounding Rockets and the ISS and Research in Life Sciences(Biology) on Sounding Rockets. PI, NASA; funded:10/01/2010 through 9/30/2013. The funded amount to Professor Kelton is $640,600. This grant will support the approved research of Ken Kelton as member of two ESA investigating teams for experiments on the International Space Station:

  1. Thermophysical Properties of Liquid Metallic Alloys: Modeling of Solidification Processes and Development of Advanced Products, European Space Agency as part of the International Team of THERMOLAB-ISS.
  2. Thermophysical properties and solidification behavior of undercooled Ti-Zr-Ni liquids showing an icosahedral short-range order, European Space Agency as part of the International Team of ICOPROSOL.
